[tab:biography]

Jacy Wall has a BA in Constructed Textiles and an MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking. Her work in both media is about textiles in the broadest sense, exploring many qualities of woven, printed and stitched textiles, enjoying a seam and simple stripes as much as rich embroidery as a source of imagery to play with.
In recent years she has been drawn to the improvisation, traditions, and ingenuity of mending. Her use of mending imagery has explored a range of approaches, often simply an emotional response to the history implicit in visible damage, along with the kinds of beauty arrived at in the methods of mending it.
