It is our great pleasure to present Morag Ballard’s third solo exhibition with Andelli Art.
Her first show in three years, each painting in the selection of twenty works has been months, sometimes years, in the making.
Morag’s contemplative exploration of rigorous geometric composition and development of more organic texture, brings together a group of playful, linear abstractions, minimal planar constructivism, lyrical forms and suggested landscapes. Each piece, with a highly considered palette, is given a calm, emotional refinement.
Having studied sculpture at Bath Academy of Art in the 1980s, Morag moved on to making paintings and constructions and today continues to pursue her pure aesthetic of form and colour in her studio in Cornwall.
