Pinkie Maclure
Pinkie Maclure is an award-winning Scottish artist who uses the allegorical power of medieval and renaissance stained glass to tell contemporary stories. Her work is informed by current events, folklore, eco-activism, personal experiences and medieval church glass.
Also a touring musician, she worked part-time in an architectural stained studio for 30 years before becoming a full-time artist.
Her light boxes are in the collection of the National Museum of Scotland, The UK Stained Glass Museum and many private collections.
Her first major solo exhibition took place at CCA Glasgow in 2023 and was extended by a month due to its popularity. Recently she has started to combine her skills in sound and stained glass, making large, immersive installations. Her second solo exhibition will take place at East Quay, Watchet in Somerset in 2026.
